In 2018 the British Government legalised the use of medical cannabis in the UK. Ahead of this announcement in 2017 Ben Langley co-founded Grow Group Plc and, with this first-mover advantage, it is now the UK's leading distributor with over 50% market share by sales.
Prescribed by healthcare professionals as an alternative to opioids to treat chronic conditions (including cancer, arthritis, anxiety and Alzheimer's disease), today the company distributes to >80 clinicians and helps >3,000 patients in the UK every month.
The company has an integrated approach to its operations across distribution, education, R&D and international trading, and intends to use the funding to scale-up existing UK operations and expand its highly-successful business model across Europe.

Ben Langley (CEO & Co-Founder) — European cannabis thought leader, one of the UK's first professional Cannabis investors in 2016. Previously spent 12 years as an Investment Banker at JPMorgan specialising in commodities and natural resources.
Ian Atkinson (CSO & Co-Founder) — world-class geneticist and botanist with decades of R&D leadership experience. Co-Founder of Cannabis research company Lunaverse, and of medical device company Innovative Trauma Care. Combined PhD in Plant Molecular Biology and Biochemistry.
Pierre van Weperen (CEO, Grow Pharma) — operational and strategic leader with significant successes in running £50–£200m businesses both in the pharmaceutical industry and services.
Kalad Shah (CFO) — FCCA qualified accountant with 20+ years experience in strategic and financial planning.
