Whilst investee business City Cycle Hub gears up to open its first site in London in 2019, there are continued signs of the city’s commitment to cyclists –
Last week, Mayor Sadiq Khan opened London’s £11 million extension of the CS6 North-South cycle superhighway. This route now adds 1.5 miles to the mostly segregated two-way lane from Farringdon north to King’s Cross.
Unveiling the extension, Mr Khan said: “With the growing population and the continued damaging effects of air pollution on Londoners, it is essential we build the infrastructure to enable more people to walk and cycle.”

Furthermore, following a 16-month trial period, The City of London Corporation recently voted to make busy Bank Junction free of private motor traffic during the daytime, making the area safer for people travelling on foot and via bike.
Joe Irvin, CEO of charity Living Streets, hailed the scheme “an unequivocal success”, saying that it’s “clearly made journeys easier and safer, with 90 per cent of people who walk or cycle supporting the scheme”.
