The Kelda Showers team – who have pioneered high efficiency, air-injection shower technology which uses 50% less water and energy – are raising £1.1m EIS-qualifying equity to launch the revolutionary BubbleSpa product. This incorporates a patented, world-first method that produces soft, visible bubbles in a continuous stream, which provides a unique, luxury spa experience.
BubbleSpa demonstrations have received an exceptional response from within the industry and the company has meaningful engagement with a number of the world’s leading shower brands, with a view to one or more of them licensing or own-branding this cutting-edge technology.
Kelda is led by CEO Richard White, an industry expert who was previously CEO of leading shower manufacturer Mira, which he led through to its £300m acquisition by multinational bathroom group Kohler. He also led the successful turnaround of Bristan, the bathroom products group.
Since the fundraise launch in December, Richard and the rest of the Kelda team have been shortlisted for another prestigious award, adding to their ever-growing list of accolades. This time, it’s for ‘Product Innovation of the Year’ in the edie Sustainability Leaders Awards, with the company being recognised for its innovative air-powered shower technology, which is built on and advanced within the new BubbleSpa product they are launching.
