We are kicking off the year with some more good news – our team is continuing to grow, with several new people coming on board, and we hope you will join us in giving them a warm welcome.

The first appointment we would like to announce is Charles Williams, who has recently joined as an Investment Director after being introduced by one of our board members, Ihab Al-Derzi.

Over the last ten years, Charles has built a proven track record as an entrepreneur, running and growing multiple international businesses in the UK, USA, Germany and the UAE.

In addition, he has managed and overseen investments for Touker Suleyman (from Dragons’ Den) and other angel investors.

Charles says that, when he isn’t at work, his passions lie in adventure motorcycling, scuba diving and cooking.

 

 

Please join us in welcoming Becky Hodges to the team.

Becky has 16 years’ experience in investment banking in the UK and Hong Kong, in various trade support and client facing roles, at the likes of JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America Merrill Lynch and the Royal Bank of Scotland.
 
We thought she would be a great fit for us due to her strong background in finance, client relationship management and business development. She has been brought on board as our Campaign Manager, a new dedicated role here at Growthdeck, where she will be liaising with fundraising businesses and project-managing live deals.
 
Becky says that, when she isn’t working, you can normally find her hotfooting it after her three young children and unruly Dalmatian puppy (often all at the same time).

 

 

Welcome (back) to Toby Ganguli, who is now joining us full time following an internship with our Investment team.
 
We all felt that he fit in really well with the wider team and the overall company culture we have here at Growthdeck.

Toby is a recent graduate from the University of Leeds, where he achieved a First Class degree in Mathematics. During his time there, he cultivated strong analytical skills, and also gained a lot of experience with various coding languages.

Toby has a keen interest in private investing, and he’s looking forward to putting his aptitude for numbers to good use in his new role with us.

In his spare time, he is an avid sports enthusiast – particularly football, golf and snowboarding – and he has also been playing guitar for many years. He likes travelling, and really enjoyed spending a gap year in Southeast Asia.

 

 

Congratulations to Alex Robertson who has taken on the role of Client Services Executive here at Growthdeck. He originally started with us on an apprenticeship basis in April last year, working as a Business Support Administrator, but he has now been offered a permanent role within the company.

Our CEO, Ian Zant-Boer, has been delighted with what he’s seen from Alex, highlighting his “overall performance, work ethic and manner”, and says that “he has picked everything up so quickly and has amazing attention to detail”.

Within his new role, Alex will work with the wider Client Services team to provide ongoing support to our investor base, which includes processing reservations in our live deals and distributing half-yearly investment reviews.

Alex says that, in his free time, his main interests are astronomy, gaming and music.
