Growthdeck Invests in Abode Media, the UK's Leading Residential DOOH Network

We have recently completed a fundraise for Abode Media, which is delivering a proven business model into one of the fastest-growing segments of Europe’s largest advertising market.


The company holds a strong first-mover advantage in the UK’s Residential Digital Out-of-Home (DOOH) space with exclusive contracts secured with major UK property players for the deployment of its digital screen offering in high-end residential lobbies. This provides advertisers with access to hard-to-reach premium audiences at peak engagement times with high repeat exposure, while also providing landlords with a revenue share and a free communication platform with tenants.

Partnering with the likes of Long Harbour, Canary Wharf Group and Ballymore, it has secured exclusive media rights for over 1,000 buildings, creating a powerful launchpad and a strong competitive barrier. The company is also in advanced discussions with other organisations whose building portfolios represent a significant proportion of a total addressable market of 30,000 UK buildings.

This new funding will support the Abode Media management team with their product rollout to fulfil signed contracts and media agency sales.

The team includes:

Brendon Cook (Chair), a global leader in the Out-of-Home (OOH) advertising industry who brings 45 years of expertise to the board. As the former CEO of oOh!Media, he transformed the company from a two-person start-up into a major enterprise with over 800 employees, spearheading multiple acquisitions within the industry.

Craig Cohen (Co-founder and Co-CEO), who has three successful exits in the OOH space, including selling Executive Channel Australia, pioneer of digital screens in lifts and lobbies in commercial office towers, to oOh!Media in 2016 for $AUD68.5m.

Brian Cahalane (Co-founder and Co-CEO), who has over 27 years in tech and data industries with previous roles including VP at Experian and European Head of Artificial Intelligence & Cloud Partnerships for IBM.

Chris Earnshaw (Sales Director), who is vastly experienced in OOH advertising and specialises in working with start-ups across all areas of the industry. He has held senior roles at the likes of OOH Tommy, Primesight, Outdoor Plus and Urban Vision in the UK.
