Out of Thin Air - ‘Meet the Management’ and Prototype Presentation Event

Thursday, 13 June, 2024
from 6:00 pm

[Registered investors only]

Calavera Limited, initially branded as Out of Thin Air (OOTA), is a self-styled “engineering collective” aiming to solve global supply chain issues in the premium bike market through 3D printing.

Led by an impressive team with extensive track records, OOTA sits at the cross-section between cutting-edge technology and direct-to-consumer products.

OOTA plans to completely change how high-end leisure bikes are made and sold by utilising a specific type of 3D printing known as laser additive manufacturing (LAM). This will enable the company to locally print tailor-made bicycles and provide these directly to consumers in a fraction of the time.

OOTA’s ability to design these bikes comes from its management team who were crucial in designing models which have over 100 Olympic medals and Tour de France stage wins. They also designed and printed the bike which helped Filippo Ganna set the Hour Record in 2022.

Dan Cobley (an advisor/NED/Chair for a range of start-up tech businesses), who has already invested in the company, says: “As a keen cyclist, at first OOTA looked like it would be a heart led investment for me. But once I understood the calibre of the team, and the potential of this technology to redefine and dramatically improve the global bike frames supply chain, my head soon followed suit.”

This event provides the opportunity to meet the OOTA team and see a prototype of their product at a drinks and canapés event at the flagship concept store of premium Swiss cycling apparel brand ASSOS.

As well as meeting the OOTA team at the store on Regent Street, you will also have the opportunity to meet (or catch up with) members of the Growthdeck team and other investors from our network.

Spaces for this event are limited so please let us know as soon as possible if you would like to join us.
