We are pleased to announce that we have closed the recent Growthdeck-led fundraise for Kelda Showers, exceeding the original target by 25% and reaching £1.35m in total.
The funds will be used to help Kelda launch its revolutionary new shower – the BubbleSpa. This is Kelda’s first consumer product, which builds on the company’s existing water and energy saving technology.
The BubbleSpa uses a patented, world-first method that produces soft, visible bubbles in a continuous stream, which will soon make it possible to enjoy a unique, luxury spa experience in the comfort of your own home. (You can register your interest in the BubbleSpa over on the Kelda website to receive the latest news and updates.)
Kelda’s cutting-edge air-injection technology powers the BubbleSpa, which utilises air flow to reduce water and energy usage, and it has received a strong response from the industry. The team, led by CEO Richard White who has over 20 years of sector knowledge and expertise, are already in advanced discussions with leading global shower brands about licensing or own branding their cutting-edge technology.
This is Kelda’s second fundraise with us and we are confident that the team will build on the successes they have already seen as they take the BubbleSpa shower to market.
The first fundraise helped finance Kelda’s development of its original product, the AirPowered shower. The AirPowered is featured in the ‘Z House’, the flagship zero-carbon home concept from the UK’s largest housebuilder, Barratt Developments, as it impressively uses 50% less water and energy compared to regular showers.
Our CEO, Ian Zant-Boer, says:
“Kelda continues to make great strides in pioneering cutting-edge technology that saves both energy and water. The BubbleSpa represents the next stage of progress in ecofriendly showers – allowing people to enjoy a spa-grade experience at home.”
“We are delighted that Kelda has surpassed its fundraising goal. This is a clear vote of confidence in Kelda as a company, the BubbleSpa shower and the eco-friendly technology that is uses.”
“As the need for energy-efficient solutions becomes ever more pressing, low-energy products such as Kelda’s will become even more necessary. We are confident that the company will be able to expand its offering to its growing customer base of the back of this new round of funding.”
Richard White, Kelda’s CEO, adds:
“We are delighted to have exceeded our target raise and the additional investment will allow us to fast track not only our world-first BubbleSpa first-generation product launch, but also progress the next generation developments.”
