The Bike Shed Moto Show recently returned to London’s Tobacco Dock for its 2023 edition, welcoming 17,000 people through the doors for three days of custom motorbikes, live music, great food and drink, and more.

The event showcased over 300 bikes from around the world, but it’s far more than just a standard motorcycle trade fair – it’s a family-friendly exhibition set in a beautiful historical venue, where everyone is welcome (whether they ride a motorcycle or not).

Here are some video highlights:

You can also watch a live panel discussion podcast recorded at the event. This is the first in a new series that launched at the 2023 show called BSMC Shed Talks, which focuses on key topics within motorcycle culture.

This first episode – featuring stunt coordinator Wade Eastwood, plus stunt performer and vehicle specialist Keiran Clark – gives an insight into what really goes on behind the scenes in films, including the Mission Impossible and James Bond franchises.

A gallery of photos is also available on the official website.

The three-day show, which began in 2013, is organised by Anthony "Dutch" van Someren and Vikki van Someren, the founders of our portfolio company Bike Shed Motorcycle Club.

They opened their first venue in London’s Shoreditch in 2015, which has a ‘ride-by’ style entrance and offers a restaurant and bar, alongside a café, lounge, retail emporium, tattoo parlour and barbershop.

Following the success of this flagship London site, Growthdeck took part in a funding round to help support the launch of the first American venue, which opened in the heart of the Los Angeles Arts District in spring 2022, kickstarting Bike Shed’s international expansion.

Founders Dutch and Vikki have now announced that, in addition to the Bike Shed Moto Show returning to London in 2024, they will also be taking the event to America for the first time next year.
